• Bharathiar University Inspection Commission came praised of three members visited our college for granting provisional affiliation for

• Curriculum plan and training delivery plan of the first year B. Voc. programmes were sent to the respective Sector Skill Councils (SSC) on 26^th May, 2016.

• Bharathiar University has granted the provisional affiliation for B. Voc programmes on 15.06.2016.
• Dr. S. Salil, Education Officer, UGC and UGC nominee of our Advisory Committee of DDU- KAUSHAL Kendra visited our College on 30.06.2016 and interacted with our second year B. Voc students regarding their Internship experience in respective industries.

• The regular classes for this academic year have been started with orientation programme on 30.6.2016. Dr. C. Jayabalakrishnan, Principal welcomed the gathering; Swami Garishthananda, Secretary explained the Ramakrishna Math, Mission and Vidyalaya; Dr. R. Sridhar, Director (Unaided Wing) explained the DDU- KAUSHAL Kendra programmes and its features and Mr. G. Murali, Principal, SRMV ITI explained the rules and regulations of the College and hostel.

 

• Sri G.Murali, Principal, Industrial Training Institute and Sri K.K. Hariharasudhan, Assistant Professor of Technology in Electrical & Electronic Devices have visited Vetal Textiles and Electronics (P) Ltd, Coimbatore and discussed about the Scope of Internship training programme for the students of I B.Voc (Technology in Electrical & Electronics Devices) on 18.10.2016.

• After the completion of four months of classroom teaching in core, general and practical subjects in our laboratories, all the 143 students of the I year (2016-17 Batch) were sent to industries for Internship Training for a period of 8 months from 21.11.2016 to 31.07.2017 as given below:

• The Vocational Examination for II year students of B.Voc Automobiles (2015-2018 batch) was conducted on 14.02.2017 by Automotive Skill Development Council (ASDC).
• The Passing Board for General Education components for B.Voc Programmes (2015 – 18 batch) was held on 13.03.2017.

• As a best practice in Teaching Learning and Evaluation, Sri P. Rajamohan, II B.Voc (Automobiles) who is undergoing internship training at ABT Maruti Ltd and gained practical experience did ‘Team Teaching’ along with Sri M. Hariharan, Assistant Professor of Automobiles to our first year B.Voc (Automobiles) students on the topic “Automotive Air Conditioning System “on 12.11.2016.

 

 

• The students of DDU KAUSHAL Kendra participated in Swachh Bharat campaign on 15.11.2016 and 16.11.2016. All the 143 students along with their faculty members cleaned the premises of the Kirpalaya and the play ground of ITI campus.

 

• The students of II B. Voc. Automobiles and ABT Maruti Limited jointly organized a “Free Service Camp for Maruti Cars” at ITI ground on 18-11-2016. Totally 20 cars were checked and serviced by the students under the guidance of technicians from ABT Maruti.

• The students of I year B. Voc. Technology in Electrical and Electronic Devices organized a Project Exhibition on 18-11-2016 at our College. The following nine projects were displayed in the class room:

Hariharasudhan, Assistant Professor of Technology in Electrical & Electronic Devices, KAUSHAL Kendra, attended the Refresher Programme for the Life Skill Teachers of UGC Community Colleges, B. Voc centres and KAUSHAL Kendra in Tamil Nadu on 21 & 22 September, 2016 at Loyola College, Chennai organized by the Indian Centre for Research and Development of Community Education.

• Sri. G. Murali, Principal, SRMV Industrial Training Institute, on behalf of the Principal of College of Arts and Science attended the first phase of three days Vocational Education Training Programme jointly organized by the Government of India and the Government of Australia held at New Delhi from 21.11.2016 to 23.11.2016. Also, he visited Capital Goods Sectors Skill Council, New Delhi and Electronics Sector Skill Council of India, New Delhi on 24.11.2016.

• Sri. P. Surendar, Assistant Professor of Production Technology (Tool & Die), DDU- KAUSHAL Kendra, attended the five days Training Programme on “Training of Trainers in Life Skills” from 27.02.2017 to 03.03.2017 at National Institute of Technology (NIT), Trichy, organized by Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development (RGNIYD), Sriperumpudur.

• Sri. K.K.Hariharasudhan, Assistant Professor of Technology in Electrical and Electronic Devices and Sri Anandh, Instructor, SRMV ITI visited Vee Eee Technologies Solutions (P) Ltd, Coimbatore and met Mr. Madhankumar, Project Engineer. They also visited Strena Securities, R.S. Puram, Coimbatore and met Ms. Kanimozhi, HR Coordinator regarding the Internship Training.

• Dr. R. Sridhar, Director, Unaided wing and Sri G. Murali, Principal, SRMV ITI attended the Review Meeting for the Institutions approved under the scheme of DDU- KAUSHAL Kendra conducted by the University Grants Commission at New Delhi on 17.05.2017.

• The Department of Automobiles of DDU- KAUSHAL Kendra, organized a Guest Lecture on 21.04.2017 at Class Room. Sri. Anand, Tutor, SRMV Industrial Training Institute, Coimbatore, delivered a talk on “Advance Automobile Using Solar Energy”.

• The Department of Automobiles of DDU- KAUSHAL Kendra conducted a Guest Lecture on 13.05.2017. Mr. Vaitheswaran, PCRA (Petroleum Conservation Research Association), Coimbatore delivered a talk on Energy Conservation of Automotive Fuel.

• The Board of Studies meeting of B. Voc. Automobiles was held on 28.06.2016 at our College Committee Room.

• B. Uma Maheshwari, Head, Department of EEE, Anna University, Chennai and Member of Advisory Committee of DDU KAUSHAL Kendra of our college has visited our college and discussed about the curriculum design of II Year B.Voc in Electrical & Electronic Devices on 28.06.2016.
• The second Advisory Committee Meeting of DDU- KAUSHAL Kendra was held on 01-07-2016 at our College Committee room. Principal welcomed the members and Dr. R. Sridhar, Director, DDU KAUSHAL Kendra explained about the activities of DDU- KAUSHAL Kendra.  All the members interacted with our first year B. Voc students. Dr.Kavidasan gave a motivational talk to the students.

• The third Advisory Committee Meeting of DDU- KAUSHAL Kendra was held on 18-11-2016 at our College Committee Room.

• The regular classes for second year B.Voc Students (2015-16 Batch) have been started with Parents- Teachers meeting on 30.01.2017.  Dr. C. Jayabalakrishnan, Principal welcomed the gathering; Mr. G. Murali, Principal, SRMV ITI explained the performance appraisal of the students in industry during their internship training.

• The Board of Studies meeting of B. Voc. Technology in Electrical and Electronic Devices was held on 06.02.2017 at our College Committee Room.

• Bharathiar University Inspection Commission comprised of three members visited our college on 23.02.2017 for granting continuation of provisional affiliation for the following B.Voc programmes for the academic year 2017-18.

• The fourth Advisory Committee Meeting of DDU KAUSHAL Kendra was held on 03.03.2017 at Roots Industries India Ltd, Rakkipalayam, Coimbatore. Dr. R. Sridhar, Director, DDU KAUSHAL Kendra explained the activities of DDU KAUSHAL Kendra. All the members visited the Roots Industries in which our B.Voc students are undergoing training and interacted with the students.
