- Dr. K. Balachandran, Professor and Head, Department of Mathematics (Retd.) delivered Lecture for I and II PG students of Mathematics on 22.09.2016 as a visiting faculty.
- The Department of Mathematics organized “Faculty Exchange Programme” with Sri Kaliswari College, Sivakasi. A Certificate Course on “Mathematics for Competitive Examinations” for I Year M.Sc Mathematics students was conducted by Mr. N. Ganeshkumar, Assistant Professor, Department of Mathematics, Sri Kaliswari College under this programme from 26.09.2016 to 28.09.2016.
- Dr. K. Balachandran, Professor and Head, Department of Mathematics (Retd.), Bharathiar University, Coimbatore delivered Lecture for I and II PG students of Mathematics on 13.02.2017 as a visiting faculty.

- The inaugural function of the Value added course on “Mathematical Structures for SET/NET Competitive Examinations” was held on 30.07.2016 in the Department of Mathematics. Dr. R. Murugesu, HOD of Mathematics welcomed the gathering. Swami Garishthananda, blessed the participants. Dr.C.Jayabalakrishnan, Principal delivered the special address. Dr. K. Sathiyanathan, Associate Professor of Mathematics proposed vote of thanks. The Classes are being taken by Dr. Karuppaiah, Guest Faculty from the Department of Mathematics of Bharathiar University. A total of 30 PG students and Research Scholars from the Department of Mathematics registered for this course.
- Our College offered a Certificate Course on “MATLAB” under Students Exchange Programme from 26.01.2017 to 28.01.2017 to the I & II M. Sc. Mathematics Students of Pioneer Kumaraswamy College, Nagercoil. A total of 32 (1 Boy and 31 Girls) students and three faculty members participated and successfully completed the course.
- The Department of Mathematics conducted a Srinivasa Ramanujan Mathematics Association meeting on 31.03.2017. Prof. B. Murali, HOD of Computer Science, PSG College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore delivered a lecture on “Mathematics in Computer Applications”. A total of 120 III B.Sc, I & II M.Sc Students, Research scholars and staff members attended the meeting.
- The Department of Mathematics conducted a Srinivasa Ramanujan Mathematics Association meeting on 12.04.2017. Dr. G. Sai Sundara Krishnan, Associate Professor, Department of Mathematical and Computational Sciences, PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore delivered a lecture on “Mathematical Modeling”. A total of 120 III B.Sc, I & II M.Sc Students, Research scholars and staff members attended the meeting.

- Doctoral Committee meeting was conducted to Mr. M.Govindaraj in the Department of Mathematics on 19.07.2016. Dr. A. Leelamani, Assistant Professor of Mathematics, Department of Science & Humanities, Anna University, Coimbatore Region participated as subject expert.

- R. Murugesu, HoD of Mathematics attended the Board of studies meeting in the Department of Mathematics of CMS College of Science and Commerce, Coimbatore – 49 as the University Nominee on 06.06.2016.
- R. Murugesu, HOD of Mathematics acted as University Nominee in the Board of Studies meeting of the Department of Mathematics at Hindusthan College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore on 02.07.2016 and also served as subject expert in Doctoral Committee meeting in the Department of Mathematics at Kongunadu College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore on 13.07.2016. Further, he served as subject expert of the staff selection committee for the recruitment of Assistant Professors in the Department of Mathematics at Sri Saradha College for Women, Salem on 22.07.2016.
- Dr. A.K. Abdul Hakeem, Assistant Professor of Mathematics acted as University Nominee in the Board of Studies meeting of the Department of Mathematics at PARK’S College, Coimbatore on 02.07.2016.
- Dr. K. Sathiyanathan, Associate Professor of Mathematics acted as University Nominee in the Board of Studies meeting of the Department of Mathematics at Kovai Kalaimagal College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore on 02.07.2016 and also he served as member in Doctoral Committee meeting held in the Department of Mathematics at Kongunadu College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore on 12.07.2016.

- The Orientation and Welcome programme for I Year students was conducted on 20.06.2016. Swami Sahanananda blessed the students. Rituals conducted to the first year students by second and third year students was the highlight of this programme.
- II & III year UG students participated in the International Yoga Day celebration held at Sri Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya Maruthi College of Physical Education on 21.06.2016.

- S. Magudeeswaran, II M.Sc Mathematics has been selected for the “Post Graduate Merit Scholarship for University Rank Holder” by University Grants Commission, New Delhi for the academic years 2015-16 and 2016-17 (two years). The amount of scholarship is Rs. 3,100/- per month.
- Sri. R. Srinivas, I B.Sc Mathematics (Aided wing) delivered a talk in the Morning Prayer on “The life history of Bhagat Singh” on 28.09.2016.
- The Departments of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Electronics, Computer Science and English jointly organized an Exhibition, MIRSCI with the theme of MIRACLE SCIENCE on 06.10.2016 and 07.10.2016 for creating interest in the basics of science among school students. The exhibition was inaugurated by Swami Punyavratananda, Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya on 06.10.2016. More than 1350 students from twelve schools from the Coimbatore district visited the exhibition and benefited. Three Exhibits from each department were selected for awarding the first, second and third prizes respectively.
- The Literary Club of our College organizes declamation for students at Morning Prayer on Important National and International events of the days to create awareness among the students about the important events of the days. In this connection Sri V. Yuvarajvel, I B.Sc Mathematics, delivered a talk on “The life history of Mathematician SRINIVASA RAMANUJAN” on 22.12.2016.
- Research and Faculty Enrichment Council organized the following programmes for the benefit of staff and students at Mini Auditorium.A one day Workshop on “Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) on 28.02.2017. Dr. S. Boopathy, Professor of Economics, Bharathiar University, Coimbatore inaugurated the Workshop and delivered a lecture cum demonstration using SPSS Software. More than 100 M.Com Cooperation, MSW, M.Sc Mathematics students and faculty members attended and benefited.
- As a part of Literary club programme Sri B. Udhaysankar, III B. Sc Mathematics delivered a talk on “Execution of the Hanging of Baghat Singh, Rajaguru and Sukdev” in the Morning Prayer assembly on 23.03.2017.
- The Department of Physics organized a “Science Forum” meeting on 23.06.2016. Dr. Shanmugamurthy Lakshmanan, Vice Chancellor, Vetha Centre for Transdisciplinary Studies, New Jersey Institute of Technology, Newjersey, USA, an alumnus of our institution, delivered a talk on “Ancient Science and Technology”. More than 100 PG students, Research Scholars from Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics attended the meeting.

- Remedial Coaching Class in Mathematics has been planned to conduct for academically weaker section in XI students of Govt. Higher Secondary School, Naickenpalayam by the department of Mathematics, as a part of Academic Extension Activity. The Programme has been inaugurated by Swami Garishthananda, Secretary of our College on 19.10.2016. The faculty members of Mathematics and faculty members of the school presented in the inaugural function.
