The Department of Computer Studies, (Computer Science, Computer Applications, Information Technology) of our College organized National Seminar on Computational Intelligence on 05.03.2024 at G.K.D Auditorium. The aim of this seminar is to disseminating valuable information about the computational intelligence to the college students. Dr. A. Muthusamy, Principal of the College welcomed the gathering. Swami Anapekshananda, Secretary of the College, presided over the function. Mr. Sathish Kumar Thyagarajan, Open Source Developer and Solution Architect, Bangalore, delivered the inaugural address.
Totally two technical sessions was conducted. Technical session-I was handled by Dr. S. Harihara Gopalan, Associate Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College, Coimbatore. He delivered his lecture on “Foundations of Cyber Security” highlighting the importance of Cyber Security in this techno-centric world.
Technical session-II was handled by Mr. Barathi Ganesh Hullathy Balakrishnan, Head of Research and Development, RBG, AI, Coimbatore. His lecture was entitled “Machine Learning vs GEN AI”. It was highly informative to the participants as it dealt with the emerging concept of artificial intelligence.
Certificate and prizes were distributed to the winners and participants. Mr. M. K. Prakash, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Applications, proposed formal Vote of thanks. Dr. R. Sridhar, Director, Dr. K. Kandappan, Dean, Students Support Services and Head of the Department were present on the occasion. Finally, the programme ended with national anthem. As many as 95 student participants from 21 various colleges took part in the programme.
